Intel Local Management Service (LMS) and
Serial-over-LAN (SOL) support for Active Management Technology (AMT)
If that is not it:
Check your device manager.
In XP, you can look up the device name in the device manager.
Control Panel > System (icon) > hardware (tab) > Device Manager
If there is a yellow mark right click it, select Properties, Details tab...
You Will find a string like this one:
copy and paste the entire string and post it ....
VEN_ is the vendor and DEV_ is the device model number ...
with that string we can get you the proper driver.
say thanks with HP POINTS

Dear All .
I have installed the OS Win 7 on my computer HP DC7800 convertible minitower more than a year. At that time , the computer runs smoothly, with all drivers were in OK, But recently, the computer has been in trouble with yellow mark on Ethernet Controller, so I could not connect some my removable devices. I have been locking for and dowloading some drivers in the forum to install , but the situation is not improved. The Ethernet Controller has still yellow mark on it.
Would you please helping me by send to me the link for dowloading driver to solve the trouble ?
Thank you for your support.
Thank you very much.

did you run system check from bios to see if everything is working correctly?
Also regarding the ethernet controller, is it to every router, can you connect at all? If one router, check for router firmware updates, usually drops and connects are router related, in wifi, if direct connect run terminal window.
ipconfig /relese [pres enter]
ipconfig /renew [enter]
also ping router, and ip of hosts connection.
ping 192.168.1.1 or 0.1 (unlessed changed)
ping google.com or any outside site
tracert (any site name)
pathping (see if any packets are dropping)
These should be a issue, but you want to be sure that your not renewing over and over and loosing connection because your isp is dropping or whatever. also check tomshardware. Those dude know more than I ever will
