RESET CMOS AND NOW PC WON'T POST

[ Edited ]

I have a DC7700 that seemed to work OK. Originally the PC would boot in to windows fine and only problem was internet access through a DSL modem.I checked all cables with working ones & I assumed this was disabled in the BIOS but could not get BIOS access. F10 option on boot would not work. I removed the battery and also used th CMOS reset button option.
After the reset I can't get it to do anything more than turn on.
It will not access the hard drive,no screen message - screen is blank. Use of F10 immediately after turning on still does not even access the Setup.

There is power to the mobo and the internet cable socket is lit and PC fans start up and the DVD Drive light flashes and then nothing.

Any help appreciated
