Question about warranty

My local library purchased 8 HP desktop computers.

I just checked on-line and they are under warranty.

 

The CPU fans are failing.

So far two.

 

I can tell because the BIOS error message says so and the machines will not boot.

 

I can replace them or whatever is needed to fulfill the warranty.

 

What do i/they need to do?

Hi,

 

I recommend trying to reseat the fan cables. If the cable is loose, you will also get a message about the fan.

A bios update might also solve the problem (if you can still do a bios update). Do remember however that a bios update is at your own risk and HP might not repair it under warranty if the bios update fails.

 

For repair you best contact local HP support (most likely they will replace either systemboard or fan)
