How do I turn off integrated video in Compaq Evo D310 Microtower

I'm running Ubuntu 9.10 on an old Compaq Evo D310 and it keeps picking up the "VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Rage 128 Pro Ultra TF" and not the added Nvidia AGP card. Anyone know the setting in the BIOS to disable it? Thanks.

Installing an AGP graphics card should have disabled the onboard graphics. If your nVidia graphics card is not being recognized then this would prevent the onboard graphics from being disabled. There is no "manual" disable for the onboard graphics.

As this is a BIOS function I would not expect that it is OS dependent. However, Linux is not a supported OS on the D310.

Hope this helps.
