HP 8200 Elite SCCM build/SATA Driver problem when SATA is in AHCI mode

Hello

We have a problem when we apply an XP build for the HP8200 using an SCCM task sequence and where SATA is set to AHCI mode AND the device is attached to the LAN.

We are using a driver package based on SP52252

The build crashes with Windows Loader Error 3 on the last restart following mini-setup.

If the device is not attached to the LAN and we use USB based SCCM offline media the issue is not present.

If the device has SATA mode in the BIOS set to RAID or IDE and we apply a network build or a usb based build then the issue is not present.

To troubleshoot this issue we used Vanilla XP and attempted to use the SATA drivers available in SP52252 this resulted in a BSOD. (7B) when using any of the available drivers.

The files in SP52252 appear identical to the files in SP52253!! Is this just co-incidence?????

I was also wondering if the below might have a bearing on the issue

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&objectID=c02712015#deskt...

p/n = XL510AV, XL508AV

Chipset compatable ids = PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_IC02&REV_04 (may be affected)

BUT serial number digits 4 through to 6 =119 (not affected)

Re: HP 8200 Elite SCCM build/SATA Driver problem when SATA is in AHCI mode

We eventually re-created the task sequence and this solved the problem...
