We are trialing the EliteDesk 800 (we've got about 50 in), we are finding that a lot of them are having problems when the screen has gone in to powersave (the user has gone to lunch) it won't wake up again. The power light is on, and if we remote control the PC we can see it is still working.
This only seems to happen if we use the VGA port to connect a monitor. If we use the display ports we don't see the problem. We are using a whole range of HP monitors from LA1951G's to LA1956x's and all of them get detected properly in windows. We are using Windows 7 on all the PC's.
If we use displayport to VGA converters we can use the current monitors fine.
We also sometimes have problems when the PC's boot, the screen won't even come on, which makes me think its not a driver issue, because windows isn't even loaded.
Has anyone else seen this sort of behavior, and does anyone have any ideas? We are on the verge of ordering nearly a thousand of these things, but we've only just realised how widespread the problem is. The weird thing is it doesn't happen every time, but some PC's get it much more frequently than others.

Just in case it helps anyone else, we had all the latest drivers installed from the HP website, but we found newer ones on the Intel website that fixed our issue.
