I just bought a DX2300 MT with Vista, I formatted it and put XP professional. I have downloaded the drivers from this page. All worked except the driver for the Network.
Can someone help me please.
Thanx

First you need to install the chipset driver then the network driver. Since the HP support website is down once again I can not provide more information or links. However, I would guess that the network driver is going to be the Broadcom.
Hope this helps.

Well the HP support website is up now and this is a link to all your drivers:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/S oftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=3352968& ...
I seem to have guessed wrong on the network as the only driver listed is the Intel.
Hope this helps.

You can get the latest chipset update from Intels site.
Wasn't sure the exact one though...
Run CPU-Z to find out and get that upgrade.
its free.

For Intel 915 G or GV chipsets see:
http://www.intel.com/support/chipsets/sb/CS-011594
The rest are on your drivers page as already mentioned....

Try this and you will get it to work..
I am assuming you will have extracted the NIC Drivers (SP35544.EXE)to your desktop Hard drive or other folder.
Once you see the Found New Hardware wizard as a result of the system's demanding for the ethernet controller(...You can also use the update driver option in device manager), do the following:
1. Select the "no,not at this time" radio button option and click on the Next button
2. Select on the "Install from a list or specific location(advanced)" radio button option and click Next to continue
3. Check on the "include this location" in the search prompt and browse to where the extracted files are; e.g c:\swsetup\sp35544\pro100 and click on the OK button. The system will load the required ethernet controller driver
4. Click on the Finnish button to complete the installation. Go ahead and configure your network card for use and have a great time.
