I recently did a clean install on my Compaq Presario CQ5500F Desktop, but when I finished, I realized that I could not connect to the wireless internet no matter what. To clarify, my internet was working prior to the clean install. I don't exactly remember which drives that were installed, but I do know that the Network Controller has a yellow question mark on it now. (See attached image)
Also, it seems like the computer doesn't have a wireless card even though I was previously using a external wireless omnidirectional antenna that connected to my wifi.
I've already visited the HP/Compaq site here http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategor
Can someone please help me? I'm very frustrated.

Please post the hardware ID for the network controller you need the driver for.
If you don't know where to find that info, use the guide at the link below.

Also shown in the attachment below.
Thanks in advance!

You're very welcome.
After researching some, I believe the driver you need is this one.
Download and install the last file listed on the page.

Hi, thanks for the link!
I apologize for having been gone awhile, but when I returned and installed said driver, it seems like the yellow (?) question mark still has not been resolved.
Also, see the attachment for what my connection (with the red X) looks like.
Thanks! Please tell me if you need any other specific information.

Actually, I just resolved it!
I looked up the Hardware Ids I had just posted on Google and found that someone had the driver files on their Skydrive. Then I followed their instructions and went in device manager and selected Update Driver from the Driver tab of your network adapters properties and pointed it at the expanded files.
Turns out I needed the files for the Ralink RT61 Turbo Wireless LAN Card.
Everything is working again!
Thanks for steering me in the right path, Paul!
Hope someone else gained from this too! :)
