8200 Elite - PCI Serial Port driver

Hi

Installed XP SP3 onto an 8200 Elite Convertible Minitower - cannot find a driver for PCI Serial Port .

Machine built in IDE emulation not AHCI.....

Any ideas?

Hi:

I am giving you the links to the drivers in order of probability.  The best thing to do when you need a driver is to click on the unknown device in the device manager. Then click on the details tab. Then you post the top string of characters you see. Those ID the device by manufacturer, type and model.

Please do this if none of the below 3 drivers work.

I too have similar issue.  Windows XP, SP3 on an 8200 CMT.

The drivers above did not work.

Unknown Device: PCI Serial Port

(pci\ven_8086&dev_1c3d&subsys_1494103c&REV_04\3&11583659&0&B3)

No luck in Google.

The device details indicate the missing device to be the Intel(R) Active Management Technology - SOL

I had to manually install the drivers for the PCI Serial Port from the sp52247 (Intel(R) AMT LMS_SOL for AMT7.0.0.1144).  Which worked.  Thanks.

However, a review of my Devices shows that I still have an outstanding PCI Simple Communications Controller.

pci\ven_8086&dev_1c3A&subsys_1494103C%REV_04\3&11583659&0&B0. 

Manually device driver install fails with all .inf's from the SP.

The installation of sp52247 fails ("The setup failed to install one or more drivers") but does not provide details.  I'm running the latest version of .NETFRAMEWORK.  Not sure what is missing.

I left W7 pro on my 8200 Elite CMT and use the Windows XP virtual PC to run the one program I have that doesn't work right on W7.

That SP also failed, but a manual install of the driver contained in the SP (HECI.inf) worked.

Thanks to all for this thread and the info on the PCI driver.

To all:  I found the driver noted above on the system drivers page for the system in the category "Software - System Management"as "Intel(R) AMT LMS_SOL for AMT 7.xx" which downloads sp52247.exe.  Obviously, not intuitive that it would fix this issue.

Once unpacked and the installer ran, the PCI driver "vanished" as unknown and moved to the "System Devices" list as the "Intel 6 Series/C2000 ... PCI Express ..." Note that I had all other drivers and chipset items installed and had no issues with the auto install (no manual install neede) under Windows 7 Pro x64.

Thanks for the help regarding the drivers for PCI devices. However, I need drivers for below devices for HP 6200 Pro, the technical IDs are:

ACPI\IFX0102\1

HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_8086&DEV_2805&SUBSYS_80861497&REV_1000\4&1BEB0376&0&0301

They are only coming up as unknown devices, without any clue as which devices are these. Any help would be greatly appreciate

I believe the ACPI thing is the TPM driver.

I'm thinking the other is your HD audio from the onboard HD graphics.

Did you install the graphics driver and the chipset driver?
