Re: 510-Splash Screen Image Corrupt.

I have the same problem on my S.O.S. (2nd)Computer Compaq Deskpro XD/P733 with OS Win2000. I saw the message
SYSTEM FLASH ROM IMAGE CORRUPTED
and only one time the second part
PLEASE RUN ROMPAQ TO RESTORE THE IMAGE AND CYCLE THE POWER IN THE SYSTEM.
After obtained the RomPaq diskette I never saw the second part of the mentioned message and the boot stop to the COMPAQ image with option F10=SETUP but I can't do anything at all.
Any advice will be really very very appreciated.

Deskpro XD/P733 Pentium III
OS Windows 2000
memory 512 SD Ram
Video GeForce INNO 3D Tornado 5500 128 MB
HHD Matrox 40GB

Thanks to any answer

Re: 510-Splash Screen Image Corrupt.

Lawrence

You seem to have a Deskpro EX. This is the link to the latest BIOS update:

Hope this helps.

Re: 510-Splash Screen Image Corrupt.

There is usually a tag on the rear panel with your model number.

Re: 510-Splash Screen Image Corrupt.

You might try the Belarc Advisor available free at www.belarc.com It will usually pick out the model number on the first page.

Re: 510-Splash Screen Image Corrupt.

thanks for the reply RON but i think using belarc advisory software will not be able to help me on getting the model of my compaq because i can't go in the windows because of this error "510-Splash Screen Image Corrupt.". Even if there is an option of pressing F1 to resume, my compaq reboots..

Please help me with this.....
