Remote Desktop with Laserjet 2024 on DOT4

Hello,

I connect to a program by remote desktop to a server with Windows 2000. The printer driver is installed in the server but when I log in I cant see my printer in the printers folder. Is this because the DOT4 port? Is it possible to install a normal USB port?

Thanks

Re: Remote Desktop with Laserjet 2024 on DOT4

I guess not, as the DOT4 port basically is a normal USB port, more or less. At least it would not cause this problem.

What do you use to connect, and do you have to logon as some user account, and if so does this user have all the access rights for this printer as well? I mean if it works on the server itsself, then it must be the remote software which causes it. What do you actually use to connect?
