Printing envelopes 3330

When I print an envelope on my 3330 the flap shows, in other words the ink leaves a dark area where the flap is on the other side of the envelope. looks like hell..........
TIA

Re: Printing envelopes 3330

sounds like it could be toner buildup in the printer.or a dirty fuser or faulty fuser roller.the most common place for toner buildup is the fuser inlet guide.usually it will just affect the leading edge of paper though.i would clean the paperpath and defenitely check the fuser rollers and inlet guide.this can happen if the envelope is thicker than specifications also.

Re: Printing envelopes 3330

It was toner buildup but I don't know why, the cartridge is new, only the second cartridge in this machine as it doesn't get much use. I pulled the cartridge, cleaned the glass tube and the situation improved but the shading is still noticeable.

The envelopes are good quality standard envelopes although the replacement cartridge was new 'compatable' after market
