PCL6 Drivers and Invalid Floating Point Exceptions

We're developed an application using Crystal Reports as printing engine, and when the client's selected printer is an HP with the PCL6 drivers we sometimes get the "invalis floating point operation" error. Switching to a previous driver version (not using PCL6)ususally solves the problem. Now, browsing through the newsgroups I've seen that many applications have this problem, which seems to be originated from the driver that changes the FPU control word without restoring it back to its original. Is there an official position from HP on this? Is there a driver setting (or patch) we can suggest to our customers?
Thanks in advance for every contribution,

Gobbo Gianandrea.
