Is the 680n the best EIO JetDirect available? I see it only supports 802.11b, 11Mbps. I have gigabit switches on my network.
Must be internal (EIO slot).
Thanks - J.

Unfortunately, the Jetdirect 680n was the only internal wireless print server available and has been discontinued. No product has been produced to replace it, however, an external 802.11g USB print server is available it is Jetdirect ew2400 (J7951G).

So it looks like it is not possible to print to these printers wirelessly?

For whatever it's worth, here are HP's current offerings in jetdirects:
Just thinking out loud here, but perhaps a wireless router connected to an external jetdirect with a parallel port, like the Jetdirect 510x?

We are just going to use a 2nd (wired) JD in EIO slot #2, configured for our wireless VLAN. We are already doing this with another printer. The printer will be able to connect with the other wireless devices, it just does not communicate wirelessly.
We are using the wireless VLAN for public users. It is separate from our staff network, for security reasons.
