Laserjet 8150 DN image defect problem

I have a laserjet 8150DN that is printing vertical lines on the paper. They are somewhat random and go from the top of the page to the bottom. I have replaced toner cartridge and installed maintenance kit but no help. I was considering replacing the upper feed assembly under the toner cartridge next. Has anyone seen this problem. HELP!!! PLEASE??

Re: Laserjet 8150 DN image defect problem

This could indicate a bad laser scanner assembly. Are the lines of random thickness and spacing? If so, I would suspect the laser.

Re: Laserjet 8150 DN image defect problem

The lines are all the same thickness but are randomly placed on the paper.

Repetitive print defects are usually associated with a specific roller
within the printer or the toner cartridge. Use figure 7-21 to isolate the
cause of repetitive print defects. Align the first occurrence of the
defect with the top of the â rulerâ and measure to the next occurrence
of the defect to determine the roller in question. When you are certain
that your defect pattern matches the pattern of the ruler, replace the
indicated roller.

Measure the first occurance of print defect to nexr occurance.
44 mm (1.73 in) is the Registration roller
44.4 mm (1.75in) is the Toner Cartridge
primary Charge roller
47 mm (1.86in) Faceup Delivery roller
53.5.mm(2.11in) Toner Cartridge Developing
Roller
54mm(2.13in) Transfer roller
75mm(2.93in) Pickup feed roller, Separation
Roller
94mm(3.71in) Toner Cartridge Photosensitive
Drum
100mm (3.94in) Fuser lower roller
Check that out and let me know.
