LJ 4300 : '59.4 Printer Error, To continue turn off then on'

I'm getting this message on a LJ 4300:

'59.4 Printer Error, To continue turn off then on'

I've turned off and on many times but same problem occurs and printer will not print anything at all.

I've looked up the code and I see that it may be caused by the toner cartridge, or 'EP Motor Rotation Error'

This is what I've done so far:
Cold/Factory Reset
Replaced Toner with HP branded
Checked shutter on toner moves properly
Checked fuser, visually seems OK.

Has anyone any experience with this fault and what are the procedures for repair ?

Thanks for your assistance.

I fits not your cartridge motor then check the wiring harness to it, if not that then its the dc controller
you should be able to remove the motor to see if it rotates, then take it from there
If it ain't simple it ain't worth doing.

Sounds a bit fiddly! I'll be sending it for repair.

Hi Marc,

One thing before you send for repair. Reseat the transfer roller. Maybe a longshot but back when these machines were first released in October 2003, I installed 300 for a local bank all over Ireland and ten or so of them had this error and reseating the transfer roller sorted them all.
