You will lose the current statuses for your CIs in Service Health and all the KPIs will have "No Data" status until the next sample/event will arrive.

Hi Experts,

  We are trying to create new profile database as our current profile db got corrupted and setting that profile database as default but we are getting an error as "Database operation failed" .As far as credentials are concerned they are confirmed with DBA .Please find the screenshot attached for detailed understanding.

Re: significance of marble_persist_1 table in profile database

Can you stop BSM services and re-run the DB config utility and use option "connect to existing database" and try recreating profile DB again. Do they have same system time including timezone?

If BSM is using windows/NTLM authentication, BSM services should be running under that user and it should have local admin priveleges on DB server.

Re: significance of marble_persist_1 table in profile database

I mean run DB utility on both servers (DPS followed by GW). All servers must have same system time.

Hi,

The reasons for this error message could be many. However, I suspect that you don't have Partitioning enabled on your Oracle database - or you are using Oracle Standard (should be Enterprise).

Another way of varyifying what's wrong with your Profile database is by using the DbVerify tool, that comes with the BSM installation. It will perform basic database integrity checks to your Management and Profile databases. What you need to do:

* Access the BSM 9.01 file system. Doesn't matter if it is Gateway or DPS

* Navigate to HPBSM\dbverify\bin\

* Execute run_db_verify.bat

* If asked for DB credentials, provide them

* Wait for the check to finish

* Provide a snapshot from the result

* Provide DbVerify log file from HPBSM\dbverify\log\ directory.

Stanislav
