load balancer query

HI,

IN the deployment guide it is writeen

If you use two load balancers for failover, you must ensure that you

configure the hostnames of both load balancers on the DNS server

machine.

In our environment customer does not have any DNS servers..we have added entry in host file...will that ok ???

Also Pl let us know how the VIP will be configurred as FQDN in load balancer??

Cheers!

Re: load balancer query

If you don't have DNS, it will be hard. BSM only support one virtual hostname. If you want LB failure over,

Here is what you can try:

1. creating IP pool which contains multiple IPs and each IP is one of the LB server.

2. In hosts file, all those IPs are pointed to the same virtual hostname.

3. In BSM, you set reverse proxy to true and add those IPs in the next section (after reverse proxy to true).

3. set RTSM front end URL to virtual hostname.

good luck
