What is perfex.exe?

Hello, expert.

Please let me know what perfex.exe is.

A anti virus soft detect perfex.exe is running and try to stop it on my site.

I found the information about perfex.exe from this site, it relate windwos monitor.

My SiteScope(version 10.10) is watching only eventlog on windows.
I want to decide it's prevent to watch eventlog monitor or not.

And in my memory, "perf" means perfomance in HP Openview family. So I wonder if I watch windows perfomance by SiteScope, perfex.exe is need.

Is it correct?

Hi,

Sitescope tool uses perform tool to get metrics from target remote windows machine. When sitescope is trying to get metrics like CPU, Memory, Diskspace and other process from target remote windows machine then more number of perfex.exe will show on sitescope machine.
