RUM Engine without connection to BAC/BSM - Probe config not uploaded

Hi

I would like to use/configure RUM Engine/Probes without an connection to BAC/BSM.

I have installed RUM Engine Version 9.0 and configured 2 probes in "Probe Management".

When I do "Tools" -> "Monitoring Configuration Information" -> "Sync All Configuration"

Then I got the message "Configuration update completed successfully"

But if I then go to "Probe Management" -> "Probe Information"... Then I see this:

Status: Probe is up and running
Operating system: Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.5 (Tikanga)
Version: 9.0.0.0200
Last configuration time: N/A
Last successful configuration time: N/A

So out of this it looks like that this Sync did not upload any config to the probe ??

On the RUM engine I have found the file C:\HPRUM\conf\configurationmanager\configuration\configuration_retriever.properties

Cound it be that I do not have any BAC/BSM connection that causes that my probes is not updated with new configuration ? If so, how can I solve this ? Do it exist any documentation on this ?

Re: RUM Engine without connection to BAC/BSM - Probe config not uploaded

yes, the sync flow is from BAC -- RUM engine--RUM probe. You need have BAC.
