we have BSM9.22 on Windows and OML on RHEL5.9. BSM and OML are integrated, in BSM connected servers test outgoing connection ends with Success status.
We have to have working tools in OMi. I made executable tool "/bin/ping <FQDN>" run on Management Server as integration user.
And it ends with failed status.
In log there are:
Detail: com.hp.ov.opr.toolws.server.jni.OvoException: Can't start tool.
OvoAAAException: Access denied
And here are some questions:
Does integration user should have some specific privileges in OML?
Can I run a command like ping on OML via OMi tool? Or should I previously prepare a tool on OML?

For HP Operations Manager for UNIX, the Integration User must have the HPOM administrator rights account (for example, opc_adm) to be able synchronize topology and execute of tools.
Also check this ER : http://support.openview.hp.com/selfsolve/document/
hope this helps,

Thanks for reply.
The problem is: OML uses LDAP to authenticate users. We can't use opc_adm.
Is there possibility (supported) to add other administrator account to OML?
In meantime we did a test:
Without LDAP enabled and integration BSM/OM with opc_adm. "Tool is currently being executed". So there is better, but this isn't solution - LDAP have to be enabled.

There is no solution at the moment. If you want to give this more priority, log a support case and mention this ER is important for your customer:
