NAS Monitoring Using SNMP by MIB

HI

We are tyring to monitor  NAS using SNMP by MIB monitor. We have placed the DISK, RAID and SYSTEM templates to templates.mib folder in Sitescope.

We are able to connect to the NAS and get the SYSTEM counters but somehow we are not able to get the DISK and RAID counters.

The DISK and the RAID counters shows "No Such Instance" or "SNMP No Such Object".

Please let us know if we have missed any steps.

Any help would be appreciated.

Re: NAS Monitoring Using SNMP by MIB

Shashwat,

How did you resolve this issue with "SNMP No Such Object" errors for snmp traps in SiteScope?

Thanks.

Re: NAS Monitoring Using SNMP by MIB

Hi Tex,

In my case I was able get system counters for my NAS device. My errors were very specific to RAID and DISK counters.

There were some of the settings missing on my NAS device due to which I was not able to collect the data.

We corrected that and the problem got resolved.

I'm not sure about your problem. Could you please elaborate a bit.

Best Regards
