Monitoring Swap+Physical Memory with SiS on a Solaris System

Hi Team,

I am looking for a way to use Sun.config template to be able to run this exact command ‘sar -r |grep -v Average|tail -2| awk 'NR==1  {print 100*(16384-($2*8192)/1048576)/16384}' against the Solaris server. is this possible to find a way to monitor Ram on Solaris OS as the memory monitor allow you to collect only the Swap/PhysicalMemory counters?

Thanks in Advance

Hi,

You should make a copy of Sun.config as your customized template. Next check http://support.openview.hp.com/selfsolve/document/KM719568 to understand what values SiS expects (and on which columns) so you can adjust your command to get expected values (what operations it does to data)
