Re: Heap size increase

Heap size for Java applets? Control Panel - Java, Java tab, Java Applet Runtime Settings section, View button, Java Runtime Parameters column, put -Xmx parameter there with desired amount of memory.

Re: Heap size increase

What does it mean? The column Java Runtime Parameters is not editable for you?

Re: Heap size increase

The format is simple, e.g.

-Xmx256m

for 256MB max memory heap size. But I'm not sure that it will help you with your issues. The root cause might be different.

Re: Heap size increase

Hi Dmitry

You were right. It did not solve my problem.
Do you have any idea about why I am not able to generate report from the ucmdb. I click generate from the report manager via the tql that i created. It opens a new window, but does not show any results.

Re: Heap size increase

its good install systemhealth, there is good to see this error with java heap memory, btw this depends on your HW memory, check deployment.xml file in your HPBAC dir good tables with memory config.

Thanks Jan for taking the time to respond.
do you have any idea what is the recommended heap size? I am drowned in the HP docs and I am not able to find my way out.

Re: Heap size increase

All the recommended heap size settings for all the uCMDB processes are automatically applied based on deployment.xml file every time you run Connect to DB wizard. You shouldn't change them manually. If you added/removed memory from the server - rerun the wizard so that new settings can take into effect.
