HP SiteScope - SNMP by MIB monitor

Dear Experts,

I am currently using SiteScope 11.22 installed on a linux box.

I am new to SNMP by MIB monitors and was wondering what kind of information is usually needed before deploying SNMP by MIB monitor to check the hardware.

Please let me know what kind of things to ask so I can ask the people in charge of the servers the proper questions.

Thanks,

Re: HP SiteScope - SNMP by MIB monitor

Hi,

You need the MiB file provided by the device vendor to be able to interpret its SNMP messages, also you need to find out which counters (OOID) you want to monitor.
