Diagnostic J2EE Probe Showing as Inactive in System Health

We have a probe that states it's inactive status in the System Health but when we go to view the probe directly (host:port) the profiler works. Also the /apps/infra/hpdiagnostics/9.0/DiagnosticsAgent/log/<probename> directory exists and the log file is being written too.

How do we get the probe in good status and have is listed in the diagnostic console? Note: we do not want to restart the weblogic server.

HP Diagnostic Version: 9.01
Probe Version: 9.0
Prober Server: Solaris
Weblogic Java: /apps/infra/weblogic/8.1/<Server>/INT6/j2sdk1.4.2_19/bin/java

Note: This was an upgrade of the probe from 7.5 to 9.0. I actually did a new install of the probe on the server and restarted the weblogic. Do I need to delete the 7.5 probe prior to restart (we will lose all the history this way, which is okay)?
