BSM : migrating SQL Database from standalone to Cluster one

Hi,

Curretly we have SQL Database on the standalone database  instance , we would like to migrate it to the cluster environment. DB migration will be owned up by the Database.

But from the application(BSM) Side , I would like to undertand what activites need to perform.

After the migration , Does DB Connect will suffice or  Do we need to  check the hostname entries in the DB table and perform the cleanup procedure and work like Migration of Database.

Any pointers will be really helpful.

Regards,

Ashish

If nothing in the DB's itself have changed, it would be enought to run the BSM Configuration Wizard, and point the new cluster name as the database name.

Re: BSM : migrating SQL Database from standalone to Cluster one

Thanks for your reply Pat, but what I doubt is that There will be change in hostname of the database i.e virtual name of SQL cluster will be given , so don't we need to clean the old entries in the Database ?
