BSM CI Status Color

Hi all...

Maybe this is a newbie question...

I'm currently working in a BSM/BAC - Tivoli Monitoring integration using the Business Integration Agent and SNMP traps to change the status of any CI's in our BSM Service Models. When Tivoli sends an event, the asociated CI change their status to red or any other state configured in BIA rules excepts when it received a clear event (green), in that case the CI changes to blue, not green. There is any way (that not implies the monitoring of the CI using SiS or OM) to make the default state color of the CI be green until a SNMP event from the BIA change it?

BTW the CI's are created manually and using the UCMDB Discovery Probe in RTSM.

I apreciate any help,

Best Regards,

Hernan

Re: BSM CI Status Color

you should probably read and learn about ETIs (event type indicator) and HIs (health indicators).

Your CI probably got its color from Unassigned/Unresolved KPIs, and when you closed/cleared the critical events, those KPIs went back to "no data" (blue).

Re: BSM CI Status Color

Asaf thanks a lot for the tip...

I read about it and now I know how to use the HIs and ETIs.
