BSM 9.22/9.23 - Centralized Certificate Server

Hello,

Can BSM 9.22/9.23 have one centralized certificate server for all DPS (Data processing servers) and for all GWs (Gateway servers) if there are 20+DPS and 20+ GWs?

All of our DPS and GWs have OA 11.11.025 agents running on them. (all w2k8)

What is the preferred method and best practice?

Is this docuemented anywhere in BSM docuemntation (was not able to find anything)?

Any help on this question is greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Re: BSM 9.22/9.23 - Centralized Certificate Server

There was a change since BSM 9.20 with regards to certificate handling.

"The server certificates are now shared among all of the servers that participate in a BSM installation (Gateways and Data Processing servers), while the node certificate it is unique to each server."

Re: BSM 9.22/9.23 - Centralized Certificate Server

Pat,

So I read the article.

So, I hve a distributed BSM environment that has 3 GWS and 2 DPS (HA setup as well).

Can I make one of my BSM servers the certificate manager for all BSM DPS and GWS or just for DPS servers only and OM is certifcate server for GWs?

Is there a BSM 9.22/9.23 Certificate management document that covers this topic?

Thanks again!

Re: BSM 9.22/9.23 - Centralized Certificate Server

hi,

I found another document which may help you, since your setup is a combination of BSM, OM + OA agents.

Re: BSM 9.22/9.23 - Centralized Certificate Server

This version should work for BSM version 9.2 and newer, and I don't know if there is a more recent version of it.

I hope it's useful for you.
