BAC 7.55 to BSM 9.20 Upgrade / BSM 9.20 Greenfield Implementation

Hi All,

It would be really helpful, if anyone could please help me in finding the answers to following queries:

Usually, how much timev (in weeks/days) does it take -

1. For Upgrading BAC 7.x (7.55) to BSM 9.x using a Staged-Upgrade approach?

2. For Upgrading a BPM Probe (7.51 to 9.13)?

3. For implementing BSM 9.x from scratch (Greenfield) with BPM 9.13?

Any response will be highly appreciated.

Thanks

Tarun

1. For Upgrading BAC 7.x (7.55) to BSM 9.x using a Staged-Upgrade approach?

Time depends upon how much data you have in the profile schema ,  although upgrade  time has come down drastically compare to the earlier version , I will suggest  to first  run all the pre-upgrade tools which should help you to get rid of all the errors  and then start for the upgrade , In my opinion   installtion of BSM should take  45-60 mins per server , so just check how many servers you have  and  I would highly recoomend you to  do the upgrade in your development environment which will give you the exact timelines.

2. For Upgrading a BPM Probe (7.51 to 9.13)?

Per BPM server , it  will not take more then 30-45  mins

3. For implementing BSM 9.x from scratch (Greenfield) with BPM 9.13?

I have recendly done with 2DPS and 2 Gateway servers , it took me 3 hrs  to set up the enviornment up and running.

Please keep a note that , all the timelines i have mentioned is based on the my experience , time can vary depending upon lot  of system paarmeters.

Ashish
