Need an on-ramp to Agile Application Delivery? Test Drive and “HP Discover”

It may sound cliché, but the pace of delivering applications is getting faster and the availability of software innovations to help you keep pace is accelerating more quickly than we’ve ever seen before.  And everywhere I look, teams are trying to absorb these changes, understand how to leverage them and apply them in their own organizations. They are looking to maintain the balance of faster application delivery and impeccable quality that their business stakeholders demand. This is quite a challenging request.

One of the ways that we, as software and solution providers, can help the situation is to provide a speedy path to understanding and absorbing these innovations.  And we have found that a great way to learn without risk is by taking a “test drive”.   What if you could invest only 90 minutes of your time and walk away with what could easily be a week’s worth of research and insights?  Are you coming to HP Discover Barcelona?  If you are attending the event, we have such a Test Drive ready and available for you to climb aboard.

Ironically, my teen daughter just earned her driver’s license.  It was key to her success that she had the ability to test drive with her learner’s permit.  We invested our time for her to become familiar with the rules of the road. This experience allowed her to experience how the vehicle handled and what to expect while driving—all before buying her a car or making her take a driver’s test.

We recently recorded a session entitled "Enable enterprise agility by managing feedback loops" which will give you a closer look at agile delivery. You can watch it here.

Our Applications Test Drive does the same thing.  It shows you, in a fun and lively setting, how HP software solutions help the different people on an Agile project team come together and effectively handle the tasks that are key to Agile delivery with the quality that is required for application success.   Join us as we walk through a “sprint scenario”.

You’ll see:

  1. How the Product Owner and Agile team Scrum Master can leverage the flexibility and visibility in HP Agile Manager  integrated with HP ALM   to effectively evaluate the requirements, define user stories and organize the team to deliver the business demand.
  2. How developers can develop a new feature and conduct acceptance testing even when it needs to work with constrained services, by creating and using a virtual service with HP Service Virtualization.  How the development manager can use developer insights from different development environments all integrated into Agile Manager with Application Lifecycle Intelligence to understand sprint content and potential risks.
  3. How the functional testing team can test not only the services but the mobile front end of the application with a single unified solution for functional test automation—HP UFT.
  4. How the performance engineering team can run a variety of load testing scenarios to ensure best performance with HP LoadRunner.
  5. And how, if issues arise, defects can be loaded, shared and resolved, with confidence for readiness to go live.

How long would it take to investigate all these scenarios and software solutions on your own?  A test drive is a great way to get introduced and familiar with these solutions.   Join us in Barcelona for:

BB1662 - Master the Agile app lifecycle: A live demo of HP Software innovations for apps, being held on

Wednesday, Dec 11, 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM

And while at HP Discover, you can drill down in areas of most interest at the solution showcase and get personal demonstrations of anything you saw at the Test Drive as well.   Join us; a short drive-time investment will result in a true high mileage return!
