HP Helps Organizations Speed Time-to-Market for High-Performing Mobile Applications

Mobile.jpgAfter collaborating for many years with Shunra, we are excited to announce a new HP Software offering that helps accelerate the development and deployment of high-quality mobile applications by automating real-world mobile network conditions. The new mobile performance testing solution, Shunra Network Virtualization,  extends the HP Mobile Testing set of offerings to help organizations to meet the demands of an anytime, anywhere mobile world.

At HP, we are seeing a significant shift within organizations towards mobility as mobile applications are being embraced to fuel business innovation and competitive differentiation. However, with mobile users’ heightened sensitivity to application performance issues as well as their ability to often provide instant feedback through online app stores, the stakes for businesses to succeed in the mobile space are higher than ever before. Why? Because a poor quality mobile application can directly and negatively impact an organization’s brand and potential revenue. IT must rapidly deliver quality mobile applications to capitalize on new business opportunities and demands, while enabling consistent service levels regardless of the mobile networks or end-user location.

IMG_1738SMALL.jpgBecause mobile performance is so dependent on the mobile network, Shunra Network Virtualization software  extends HP Performance Center and HP LoadRunner performance testing solutions to help clients test real-world network conditions by simulating a wide range of network types and locations from around the world.   As you know, mobile application performance is heavily dependent on the capacity and speed of the mobile network. With the new solution, HP enables more precise and reliable mobile application performance testing. As a result, organizations can increase end-user satisfaction and consistent application performance in production by testing application performance in real-world network conditions prior to deployment.

Check out the recently published World Quality Report, sponsored by HP in conjunction with Capgemini, which highlights key findings illustrating how many organizations do not have access to the right tools sets to test the complete mobile application lifecycle.

With the new solution, HP provides a comprehensive set of offerings for managing the mobile application lifecycle including HP Fortify Mobile Application Security solutions and HP Application Performance Management.
