Setting up DNS for Name based Web Sites.

Hello,

I am told in the documentation that these sa1100 units can host Name based Web Sites, in addition to IP based web sites.

My Co-location company does not want to give me unlimited ip addresses, and has told me to use Name Based hosting for the appliance.

Help.

None of the documentation covers how to do this.

Has anyone been able to set up the machine to use it for hosting NAME based hosting?

I really appreciate any help anyone can give.

No hint would be considered to small.

Thanks,

Bill D.

Re: Setting up DNS for Name based Web Sites.

This is relatively simple Bill.

Just add it under the "Add domain tab". Just use the same IP address as before.

The only thing you will not have through name-based service is anonymous ftp service.
